"Sometimes it's good to give up the driver's seat" is not the approach needed with multiple sclerosis,in my opinion. Because m.s. is not subject to a cure or even consistently effective treatments, the sufferers needs to educate themselves in healthy habits to maintain a healthy body and mind to better deal with the disease progress. Passively waiting for a cure is not enough. We need to find ways to manage our symptoms and to stay healthy, ubeat and engaged in life.

Baba Shiv shares a fascinating study that measures why choice opens the door to doubt, and suggests that ceding control -- especially on life-or-death decisions -- may be the best thing for us.
